Challenge:   For this project, representatives of Canoe Productions were hired to produce a corporate video spot for Air New Zealand. This involved some unusual steps of pre-production. The project, was to be filmed entirely on one of Air New Zealand's planes… the real challenge was that it was to be filmed entirely during an actual flight! There were obvious cautions that deserved immediate attention.

Solution: To work around the challenges on this project, Canoe representatives customized an entire production and camera package, which could easily be stored on the plane and moved about as we followed the in-flight staff about their business. This also proved very important as to minimize how the production affected the paying passengers. Security issues were also of top priority given the nature of the beast.

Result: Air New Zealand was delivered a final edited master of their 5-minute in-flight video spot.
